Volunteer Opportunities
Your talent and time can
help the American Lung Association of Oregon fight lung disease through various
activities, such as:
- Asthma Education
Teach children with asthma how to better manage their disease
through the Open Airways
For Schools program.
- Advocacy
Influence public policy on tobacco
prevention, air quality,
and lung health as
a member of the Lung Health Advocacy Network.
- Special Event Fundraising
Help organize events, including our
Reach the Beach Clean Air Bicycle Challenge, our 2000 rider,
one-day bike trek to the coast to raise funds to support
our education, advocacy, and research
programs.
- Public Awareness
Educate
the public about indoor
and outdoor air quality, tobacco,
and asthma through
health fairs, school presentations, and media interviews.
- Tobacco Use Prevention
Help young people not to smoke by
assisting with prevention programs.
- Office Operations & More
Assist with bulk mailings, data entry, filing, telephone coverage and more!
